And when it comes to success, believing in yourself is even more important than being intelligent and talented most of the time. Because if you do not have the self-confidence to showcase your character, knowledge and background traits, you cannot expect others to be aware of the qualities you have.
The lack of trust in yourself and the Universe causes fear, fear causes doubt and doubt causes indecisiveness. To become a more confident person, remove them all from your system. Send your fears on their way. Starve them of attention.
And there are a few things you can do to create momentum in improving your self-confidence. For example, you can think of a fear you have overcome, or make a list of your past successes and accomplishments, seek positive feedback from people you respect and trust. Additionally, you can determine your negative beliefs and see how you can replace them with positive ones.
But being successfully self-confident requires a little bit of work. Do your homework, make your research, show up prepared whatever the occasion is. Plus, never forget to celebrate the wins. Give yourself credit no matter how small your progress is.
Surround yourself with positive people, stay away from the negativity. Better yet, get a mentor, someone you can get guidance from. Last but not least, make sure you have a good posture. Because sitting and walking upright with your chest out has a positive effect on your mood and confidence level, as well as on how others perceive you.
You are unique, you are irreplaceable, you are capable, you are resourceful, and you are loved. Be yourself, be confident, be proud.
