I am not going to suggest that you need to have a New Year’s resolution, my friends. If you want to have one or more, that would be perfectly fine as long as you stick to it. I will ask you a question though; What do you want to make better in your life this coming year?
I, for one, will try to be a better person in 2019. I will try to help more people, and ask for less for myself. I will try to live a more minimalist life. I will not buy anything unless I definitely need it. I will have more time with family and friends, less time complaining. I will be a more positive person. Will look for the filled half of the glass, rather than looking at the empty half of it.
What about you? Which personal traits of your character you would like to improve? Who is the one you feel like you have neglected lately, that you would want to spend more time with? Have you been taking good care of yourself? If not, what will you do about it in the New Year?
Do you love yourself enough? If not, why and how can you improve your self-respect, self-love, and self-confidence?
The intention of all these questions is to make you turn around and look at yourself and decide what kind of a new person you want to be.
New Year is an opportunity to turn a blank, shiny, white and clean page. Remember; you can do whatever you want, and be whomever you want to be. But also remember; love for others starts with love for oneself. Be proud of yourself, be grateful for what you have and who you are. All these positive thoughts and feelings will make you more open to giving love to others too. Because love for others does not flourish without love for oneself.
So, in the New Year, if you will do one thing and one thing only, then make that be loving yourself.
You are precious, you are magical, you are unique and you are loved.
