I have been writing these short blog posts since the beginning of December and, even though my husband says every time he reads them, he feels like I am making a point about him or for him – my silly husband babe… In reality, I am reaching out to myself, reminding myself the things that we all know already, but that we need to get reminded of from time to time.
Especially after a certain age and life experience, we all know what is right and what is wrong, what is good for us and what is not, what is fulfilling and what is degrading. And, actually, you do not really need me to give you advice. In your heart, you already know. I am just trying to wake your inner voice up, I am trying to help you to take a break from your hectic day and read something that makes you stop for a second, think about yourself, and give a little bit of love to yourself. I am happy if you get something from my short messages, that makes you feel better for the rest of your day.
Thinking that I have made a difference for someone and that maybe I have put a little smile on their face makes me happy. Getting an appreciative message from a friend makes me happy. I am blessed by a wonderful family, great friends, good health, but connecting with you all here makes me even happier.
My son said to me the other day; “I want two things in life; first of all, to be healthy and secondly, to be happy as happiness is ultimately the sum and outcome of many other factors such as; well being, abundance, success, joy, etc.” That made me pause, and realize that he has a point.
So my friends… My question to you today; what is it that makes you happy? What is happiness? What do you need to be happy if you think something is missing? I want you to think about it today. What is your priority?
